Amine Harit will miss the World Cup after being unintentionally injured by Axel Disasi in the match he was playing for Olympique de Marseille against Monaco.
Olympique Marseille confirmed that the midfielder has already undergone surgery and he will miss the rest of the season.
Harit left a message on his social media about how he is dealing with this tough time: "I waited a bit before speaking out because I needed time for myself with my loved ones. As you can imagine, beyond the physical pain, it's hard to realise that the dream of a World Cup is flying away just a few hours after having been able to live it."
Harit also took the opportunity to leave a warm greeting for Disasi, after the harsh messages written to the Monaco player: "I don't blame him at any time. He had no bad intentions, everything that was said about Axel on social media is unacceptable and I'm very sorry."
