Portuguese boss Jose Mourinho has firmly denied reports linking him with a move to bring Cristiano Ronaldo back to Europe, amid speculation about a potential reunion at Fenerbahce.

On Sunday, Jose Mourinho dismissed rumours suggesting he is interested in signing Cristiano Ronaldo from Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia. The Portuguese manager, who has worked with the 39-year-old at Real Madrid, responded to the speculation during a recent press conference.
Mourinho stated that while he has immense respect for Ronaldo, the notion of bringing him back to Europe at this stage is simply not in his plans.
"News about Cristiano Ronaldo to Fenerbahce is ridiculous," Mourinho remarked, emphasising that his focus is solely on developing the team and achieving success in Turkey. "Cristiano might come to Istanbul to eat because it's right in the middle of the road between Saudi Arabia and Portugal.
"Or maybe he'll come to see his old friend, Jose, we can eat at my hotel," he told reporters. Fenerbahce, who are currently competing in the Turkish league and European competitions, have shown strong form this season, with Mourinho keen to build on the team's progress rather than divert attention to high-profile signings.
