Mourinho gets 10-day ban for comments about referee
Roma head coach Jose Mourinho has been handed a ban of 10 days for comments he made after the club's draw with Monza in May about referee Daniele Chiffi.

Jose Mourinho does not shy away from controversy. Having already been given a four-game ban following his "abuse language" towards referee Anthony Taylor after Roma lost to Sevilla in the Europa League final, it looks like Mourinho will be missing even more of the start of next season.
Roma's head coach has now been given a 10-day ban for his comments about referee Daniele Chiffi, after his side drew with Monza in May. He said that Chiffi was "the worst" referee he had ever seen. The ref had given Roma defender Mehmet Zeki Celik a second yellow in added time of the Monza draw, and had sent Mourinho off earlier in the year, when Roma lost to Atalanta.
"He is the worst", declared Mourinho, "Technically, he's horrible. Zero empathy. Zero communication. Zero awareness ... I stopped working 20-30 minutes from the end because I knew he would give me a red card for anything".
Mourinho's comments will see him miss the first and likely the second game of Roma's Serie A crusade, and he has been handed a €50,000 fine.
