The former Real Madrid, Manchester United, Inter Milan, Tottenham and Chelsea boss is having the worst start to his coaching career with 11 points in eight games, leaving the capital side 10th.
Roma have won just three of their eight league matches, a 7-0 thrashing of Empoli, a 2-0 win against Frosinone and a 4-1 victory against promoted Cagliari.
The Portuguese manager admitted that he does not know if he will be in charge of the Italian team in the 2024/25 season. "I don't know. Before [the Final in] Budapest, I had promised players I would stay.
"After the game with Spezia at the Stadio Olimpico, I told fans I'd stay, and here I am now. There is Anti-Mourinhism too. Especially in Rome, you can find both sides. Anti-Mourinhism is followed by people who are happy when Roma don't win and when Roma have no European success," he continued.
"They have fun on the radio and that's fine. I'm saying this because I meet people on the street, in any part of the world, who identify with my way of living life. To me, however, the most important game is always the next one, the past is history."
