Jose Mourinho's future at the head of AS Roma is very uncertain, even if the Portuguese coach has a contract until 2024. Francesco Totti, former club legend, thinks that everything has already been decided and will be revealed after the Europa League final against Sevilla.
"It's football, it will be his choice and I think that he and the club have already decided everything. The announcement will be after the Europa League final. I don't know what Mourinho has decided, but I hope he stays", declared the former captain to 'Corriero dello Sport'.
Regarding the Europa League final, which will be played in Budapest, Totti seemed confident: "I hope they will win. It's a final and anything can happen. Even if Roma were to lose, it won't have been a bad season for them, because they reached the final. Obviously winning would be better", he added.
Roma face a slightly daunting task, as Sevilla have won six Europa League titles, the only side to do so. Known as the 'kings' of the competition, they are hunting down their 7th title, and will be eager to add it to the trophy case.
