"My relationship with Messi is amazing, it's a privilege to play with him"

PSG player Sergio Ramos spoke in the pre-match press conference before the Champions League game against Juventus, a match which takes place this Wednesday 2 November at 21:00 CEST.
The journalists present wanted to ask the man from Sevilla about his relationship with Leo Messi, given both players' colourful history, as the Andalucian played at Real Madrid and the Argentinian at Barcelona: "It's something that everyone is curious about, but at the end of the day, we're players who have the same goal, which is to win everything at PSG, and to improve the team. We want to help him where we can, with the experience that we have".
"My relationship with Leo is amazing, and you can see that on the pitch. To win, you always need good togetherness, good spirits and a good soul. To achieve great things, you need peace to be a main feature, because the enemy is already out. You have got to emphasise the great relationship there is between all the players. I think that is the best way to get success", the ex-Madrid man added.
What is more, Ramos emphasised that the Argentine forward continues to perform "to the highest level" and he is completely "focused" with the World Cup coming up. "To anyone who you give the choice between having Messi in your team or playing against him, the response is very quick and sincere. I think that Leo is continuing to perform at the highest level".
"You shouldn't measure players by their age, but for the performance. He is still one of the best players in the world. For us, it's a privilege to have him in the squad. With regards to the World Cup, I can see he's very focused on it. For him, I think he's really concentrated on performing well", the PSG player said.
