Ilkay Gundogan is at the European Championship with Germany, but the midfielder spoke in an interview with 'The Athletic', where he assessed his first season as a Barcelona player.
The player was candid and spoke about the constant changes of positions: "With Barcelona, I played everywhere I was needed, so it's been a bit chaotic, with a lot of position changes.
"I've had to adapt constantly. Sometimes playing well also means knowing what position you play in, who plays around you and being comfortable with that," he added.
Gundogan also made it clear that he is more comfortable with his national team: "In the national team, I feel very comfortable on the pitch with my team-mates and in my position."
Finally, the midfielder had good words for his teammate Lamine Yamal: "He's only 16, but he's crazy. It's just crazy. The confidence with which he plays makes it seem normal... but to play at the highest level all year long and to reach the European Championship as a key player is not normal at that age. I want him to stay healthy and get to the top of world football, because that's his potential."
