According to 'La Gazzetta dello Sport', Chelsea have a roadmap to sign Victor Osimhen this summer but it might not work out as planned. The Blues want to negotiate with Napoli by offering them Romelu Lukaku in exchange. However, the Serie A club are interested in signing Artem Dovbyk from Girona as a replacement for the Nigerian star.

Striker Victor Osimhen has a contract with Napoli until 2026 but could leave this summer. The Nigerian, who has 17 goals to his name, is expected to be inundated with offers from several big European clubs in the coming transfer window.
Chelsea are one of those interested in securing the striker's services but his transfer fee is 130 million euros and the Blues are looking for ways to make the transfer cheaper. According to 'La Gazzetta dello Sport', the Londoners are considering offering Romelu Lukaku to Napoli so that he does not cost them so much.
Lukaku, who is on loan at Roma, belongs to Chelsea and has scored 20 goals this season, even more than Osimhen. As a result, he could be a good contender to consider and the English side are thinking of using him to get a good discount on the Nigerian's price tag.
However, Lukaku is not a priority for Napoli. The same media outlet reports that Artem Dovbyk, who has 20 goals for Girona and is committed to the Spanish club until 2028, is one of the Serie A side's main targets to replace Osimhen.
Napoli could sign the Ukrainian for 40 million euros. Moreover, his salary would be significantly lower than what Lukaku would demand.
Lukaku and Dovbyk are not the only players that Napoli are looking at. They are also keeping an eye on Mateo Retegui from Genoa and Kevin Denkey from Club Brugge. The summer will be long and, by the looks of it, busy at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
