Hansi Flick wants to put an end to the bad streak of new coaches at Barcelona. Since Tata Martino in 2013, no 'Cule' coach has made his debut in a 'Clasico' with a victory.

Since Argentine Gerardo 'Tata' Martino won his first 'Clasico' on October 26th, 2013 (2-1), no Barcelona coach has won his first official match against Real Madrid.
In that match, played at Camp Nou, on the opposing bench was precisely Carlo Ancelotti, then another debutant coach in 'El Clasico' who was beginning his first stint at the helm of the white team.
In that match, Neymar gave Barca the lead after 18 minutes and Alexis Sanchez, coming off the bench, scored the second in the 78th minute. Ten minutes later, Jese closed the gap for the 'Merengues'.
Since then, no coach of the Catalan team has won his first 'Clasico'. Eleven years of drought that was not broken by the next five coaches of the Catalan team.
Luis Enrique Martinez was defeated (3-1) in La Liga, in what was also Luis Suárez's debut as a 'Cule', and Ernesto Valverde made his debut with a 1-3 defeat in the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup, the summer of Neymar's move to PSG.
Quique Setien, who arrived with the season already underway, lost 2-0 at the Bernabeu, Ronald Koeman lost 1-3 in the first 'Clasico' in times of pandemic; and Xavi Hernandez did the same, but in extra time (3-2) in the semifinals of the Spanish Super Cup played in Riyadh.
On Saturday, Hansi Flick will have the opportunity to put an end to the bad streak and emulate 'Tata' Martino once again. The German coach already did it a few weeks ago, when he chained seven wins in the first seven matches of La Liga as the coach from Rosario did in his day.
