"No one at City thought that he was not good enough" - Maresca on Cole Palmer transfer
Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca told ‘TNT’ that Manchester City decided to sell Cole Palmer to the Blues because it is difficult to give playing time to so many good players, stressing that it was not a question of them not seeing that he was good enough.

Cole Palmer joined Chelsea from Manchester City on the deadline day of the 2023 summer transfer window to bolster the Blues' attack. What many fans did not expect was that the Sky Blues youth product would become the undisputed star of the London outfit.
The English playmaker has become one of the Premier League's most in-form players and now it is the Cityzens who are wondering why the Mancunian side decided to sell one of their youth products to direct rivals Chelsea.
Blues coach Enzo Maresca, when asked why he believed the Etihad Stadium side sold Cole Palmer, said one reason was because of the number of good players the Sky Blues have in their ranks, not because of Palmer's lack of quality.
"Why City sold Cole Palmer? Everyone at City, they knew how good Cole is. The only problem is that having so many players there. It’s difficult to give all of them minutes, so no one at City thought that Cole was not good enough, no doubt," he told 'TNT'.
