Rodrygo appreciated Endrick's bravery in shooting despite Vinicius and Mbappe being unmarked at the time. His gamble paid off, he scored and that helped him become the youngest Real Madrid player to score in Europe. His team-mate was delighted for him and predicted great success.

Endrick was the star of Real Madrid's Champions League opener, for gambling on his goal with Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius free to score. His team-mates joked with him and Rodrygo claimed he is crazy.
"Endrick is crazy. No one would try to score from that position, but I'm very happy for him and I understand the joy he must be going through. It's a move we do with Rudiger in training and it's gone well,· Rodrygo told the club's media.
"His name is not Endrick, it's Bobby," added Antonio Rüdiger in the mixed zone, revealing the Brazilian's nickname for saying that one of the players who most influenced him was Bobby Charlton. "He's got a big personality and he's got a good shot, otherwise he would have had big problems," he joked.
Rodrygo stressed the importance of starting the new Champions League with a win. "It's important to win with this shirt and even more so in the Champions League. It was important to start by winning because it gives us confidence. It went well, we won and now we have to keep improving," he said.
"We weren't playing a bad game in the first half. The pressing wasn't good, but the coach ordered us well there. The coach always asks me to attack. Tchouameni gave me the pass, I attacked the back, I drove the ball down the right flank but then I found two defenders, I saw Kylian in the box and I fed him," he said of the action that led to the first goal.
He linked up with Mbappe to set up the assist on the Frenchman's Champions League debut for Real Madrid. "We are getting better every day in training, on a day-to-day basis, and we are more friends. I hope this friendship continues so that we can do good things on the pitch. We're improving, there's still a little bit to go and we'll be better in every game".
