Not considering Barcelona would be 'disrespectful', admits Szczesny

Barcelona will have a new goalkeeper in the coming days. The Catalan side have moved quickly to cover Marc-Andre ter Stegen's injury and will secure the services of Wojciech Szczesny.
"I have a lot of respect for Barcelona's history. They are one of the best clubs in the world. I understand the difficult situation that has arisen for them after Ter Stegen's injury and I think it would be disrespectful of me not to consider this option," he told 'Sport'.
He also had good words for Ter Stegen. "I just hope Marc recovers soon. He's a good friend and a great goalkeeper and I wish him all the best. That's all I can say," he told 'Mundo Deportivo'.
According to reports in Poland, Szczesny could pass the medical and sign a contract by the end of the current campaign on Thursday. Szczesny would not be able to play for Barcelona in the Champions League until the end of the league phase, so Pena himself will be the goalkeeper in the top continental competition.
