Nottingham Forest boss Nuno hit with three-game ban

Nottingham Forest head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has been given a three-match ban after being sent off against Brighton. The Portuguese was also fined £55,000 as a punishment for the red card on Friday.

Nuno Espirito Santo was sent off by referee Robert Jones for his exagerrated reaction to Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White's red card in the 2-2 draw agaist Brighton at the Amex Stadium on September 22nd. "Nuno Espirito Santo, Morgan Gibbs-White and Fabian Hurzeler admitted to their respective charges," the FA statement read.
After having accepted the FA's punishment, the Portuguese coach has ben fined £55,000 and will be forced to watch his side from the stands for their next three games, starting with the Premier League showdown against Crystal Palace at the City Ground on Monday.
Nottingham Forest midfielder Gibbs-White was handed a one-match suspension alongisde a £20,000 fine for involvement in the furious reactions following his double yellow card against Brighton. Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler was also charged by the FA after he tresspassed onto the field to complain about Gibbs-White's challenge on Joao Pedro. Unlike Nuno, Hurzeler managed to avoid a suspension as his punishment was limited to a £8,000 fine.
The Nottingham Forest manager said that he was "surprised" by the sancion in his latest press conference on Friday ahead of the Crystal Palace game. "It's a big sanction but nothing we can do now. There sanction is there, it's not for me to judge it. My job is to move forward," he admitted.
