Former Barcelona player Rivaldo criticised coach Xavi Hernandez's lack of confidence in Vitor Roque and the Catalan club's lack of interest in his compatriot.

Vitor Roque has gone from being a solution in the winter transfer window to a player to sell in the summer. The lack of playing time and the threat of Andre Cury make the Brazilian an even more difficult fit at the moment.
Rivaldo knows well what it is like to succeed as a Barcelona player and therefore does not understand what is happening: "Vitor Roque has lacked opportunities. They have given very little playing time to a player who has excelled in the Brazilian championship. He is very young and has not had the opportunities to show his football.
"Sometimes this happens. He hasn't had opportunities and now they think the player won't be useful for the club, so they will look for a transfer. I think Barcelona didn't know how to give him more opportunities and he is a good player, he has a future," Rivaldo told 'Betfair'.
The 1999 Ballon d'Or winner also gave some advice to the La Liga club: "I think they have to sell players, make signings for next season because this year was bad and Madrid are La Liga champions and in the semi-finals of the Champions League. This year was a big disappointment for Barcelona fans and for football lovers."
