Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak admitted his side's suffering in Sunday's 2-1 win over Real Betis, but said it "happens a lot", wished "hopefully" his side could "settle it earlier" and spoke of the importance of their win after the "disappointment" of the Copa del Rey elimination.
"A tough match. We could have solved it earlier. We didn't. In the end, with a goal they got into the match. In the end we suffered as we often do. I wish we could have solved the games earlier, because we had chances, we controlled the game from the start until their goal. It's a shame that we conceded that goal," he told 'Movistar'.
"These are three very important points, especially after the game we played in the Copa del Rey (against Athletic), where we were all disappointed. Not just the fans, we understand their anger. So are we. Hopefully we can do better in the next matches," he added.
A denial from him to Guido Rodriguez was crucial in Sunday's match. "In the end, I try to do my best. I didn't save everything, a goal went in and it's always a shame when you concede. I try to do my best, for everything if possible and I'm going to do as long as I'm going to be," explained Oblak.
