Lucas Ocampos has expressed his feelings in an interview for 'Sevilla FC TV' following his side's defeat at San Mames. The Argentinian made no secret of his disappointment at the result and admitted that it's "very bad to end a season like this".
Athletic Bilbao stalwarts Raul Garcia and Iker Muniain both struck on their last home game for the fifth-place Copa del Rey winners in a 2-0 victory against an underwhelming Sevilla.
"It hurts because, of all the years I've been here, it's the first time we've ended up like this. It costs a lot. Football is about effectiveness. We have no choice but to go on and apologise to the fans who came here. Personally, I'm very disappointed with the game and the end of the season, I can only say that and not look for excuses," he added.
Next Sunday Sevilla will play their final game of the campaign at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan against FC Barcelona. "We will try to leave a good feeling for the fans at home and put this season behind us, which was very hard and long for everyone.
"It hurts us all to end a year like this," he said. "There are seasons when you win titles and, in others, we do the way we do. We have to think about next year, do things differently and change the image we gave this year, because that can't be," concluded the Argentine.
