Sporting CP knocked Arsenal out of the Europa League with a 5-3 victory on penalties after Goncalves scored an incredible equaliser for the Portuguese side in Thursday's last 16 second leg.
The Gunners are very disappointed with the result as coach Mikel Arteta had hoped to win two titles this season. However, Arsenal will have to focus on the hunt for the Premier League title. In fact, Martin Odegaard said in an interview that they need to "move forward".
"We have 11 finals to go and that’s it, that’s the main focus now. It starts already now in the dressing room to recover well and change the focus, so that’s what we have to do.
"We’re going to recover well and make sure we come sharp for Sunday, that’s the only thing we can do now. We wanted to do something special in this tournament and so we’re disappointed. It’s done now, we can’t think too much about it, we have to move forward," he concluded.
