Andy Carroll, who replaced Fernando Torres at Liverpool, has signed for Bordeaux, who play in France's fourth division, at the age of 35. Carroll had started the season with Amiens in Ligue 2 and, despite playing in all four Ligue 2 matches, has decided to move to Bordeaux.
Carroll, who was capped by England, joined Liverpool in 2011 for £35 million but scored just 11 goals in 58 appearances for the Reds. He netted 33 goals in 91 games for Newcastle United and 34 in 142 for West Ham United.
After leaving the Hammers in 2021, Caroll played for Reading and West Bromwich Albion before moving to France with Amiens.
