Liverpool and Feyenoord confirm they have reached an agreement to ease manager Arne Slot's arrival in the Premier League. The Dutchman makes his debut in the big leagues with the heavy legacy of Klopp as his benchmark and having renewed his contract in Rotterdam just under a year ago as a reward for winning the league title.

Arne Slot is Liverpool's new manager for next season. On 26 January, Klopp made it known that he had run out of energy and that the best thing to do was to step aside so that a new era could begin at Anfield. Throughout these months, the Reds' sporting management has been exploring the market and has ended up determining that the best option was the Feyenoord manager.
The recently announced manager was tied to the Rotterdam project until 2026, but the offices reached an agreement of just over 10 million euros in exchange for allowing the transfer. His talent will get to know the big leagues for the first time in his career. So far, he has only worked for Cambuur and AZ Alkmaar in addition to his current destination, where he has won one league and one cup this season.
The bid for him was a risky one from the start. When he was still at AZ Alkmaar, his bosses knew he was negotiating with an Eredivisie rival, so they opted to sack him. This happened in 2020, a pandemic period that did not detract from the fact that his coaching record was among the best in the competition.
Within 10 days of his dismissal, his move to Feyenoord was announced, so this is not the first time he has broken with a club to which he was committed, although, on this occasion, the arrangement has been made on good terms between all parties. He had been renewed at the end of May last year in a sort of reward for his domestic championship win, so it was inevitable that De Kuip's coffers would be compensated.
