OFFICIAL: Atletico Madrid recover old badge
With the beginning of July, the measure adopted by Atletico de Madrid on June 30th, 2023 came into force: the old badge is officially back. The Spanish team has already published several images with the significant changes that are taking place in the club's facilities.

Atletico Madrid have recovered their old badge, which was in force from the 1947 season until 2017, as, being on Monday 1st July, the measure that was backed by a large majority of members in the vote held on 30th June 2023 comes into force.
In that consultation, approved by the club's board of directors a few days earlier, 68,894 members (88.68% of those taking part) voted in favour of recovering the aforementioned badge.
Once the season was over, the Spanish team decided to pay tribute, on 27th May, to the thousands of fans who called for the return of the previous badge with a video with the title 'Never stop believing', the club's motto, and with the placement of a flag in the Civitas Metropolitano with the badge, as explained by the club on its website.
With the version that was in force from 2017 until now, Atletico Madrid have won La Liga in 2021, a Europa League in 2018, as well as the 2019 European Super Cup with the men's team, and two Leagues (2017-18 and 2018-19), the Spanish Super Cup in 2021 and the Copa de la Reina in the 2022-23 season for the club's women's team.
