OFFICIAL: Barcelona loan Sergino Dest to PSV

Sergino Dest returns to the Eredivisie. PSV have signed him on loan for the 2023-24 season, bringing him back to a competition he is no stranger to, having played for Ajax before heading to Barcelona.
The Catalan giants have opted to send him to PSV for a season, although he could stay there permanently. The Dutch side have an option to buy the American for 10 million euros, according to 'Sport' before the move was made official. The Spanish newspaper also pointed out that Sergino Dest's fee will be half paid by PSV and Barca.
The right-back did not count for Xavi, so the Spanish side have worked hard to find a destination for him before the market closed. Despite the fact that during the pre-season tour with the 'Cules' Dest assured that he saw himself staying at Barca, the club had other plans for him.
Sergino Dest joined Barca in October 2020 and signed a contract until 2025 with a termination clause of 400 million. He made 41 appearances in the first season and 31 in the second, but two seasons after his signing, Barca ended up loaning him to Milan, with whom he played just 14 games and only four as a starter.
The American hopes to do better at PSV. He has already played 21 games in the Eredivisie for Ajax and hopes that this previous experience will help him adapt quickly to his new team.
