Home, sweet home. Borja Iglesias is a new Real Celta player. The Galician club announced on Friday the return of the striker on a loan deal from Real Betis, where he had no place.
After half a season at Bayer Leverkusen, he arrives at Abanca-Balaidos with the Bundesliga and the DFB Pokal under his belt. However, the player still has to pass the medical examination.
Despite the interest of Rayo Vallecano -and the intention of assuming the transfer-, Real Betis prefer to place Borja Iglesias in Real Celta. The club he left in 2017 for Real Zaragoza, where he scored 23 goals.
His 20 goals for Real Espanyol placed him seventh in La Liga in 2019. After 5 seasons in the green and white colours, the ‘Panda’ decided to return to his origins 7 years later.
