OFFICIAL: Brighton Head of Recruitment Sam Jewell agrees to join Chelsea

Chelsea continue to restructure the management of the project led by Todd Boehly, who has already invested hundreds of millions of pounds in revamping a squad that has so far failed to bear fruit.
The latest to join the Blues' new project has been Brighton's Head of Recruitment Sam Jewell, as the Seagulls have confirmed in an official statement in which they have thanked the Englishman for his services during his time at the club.
"Sam Jewell has accepted a new position at Chelsea FC. He has now commenced a period of gardening leave. We thank him for his long service to our club," reads the statement.
Roberto De Zerbi's team confirmed that Mike Cave will take over Sam's duties. "With immediate effect, Mike Cave, assistant technical director, supported by George Holmes, scouting and intelligence manager, will assume Sam’s responsibilities".
