OFFICIAL: Carlo Ancelotti renews Real Madrid contract until 2026

Despite rumours of a pre-agreement with the Brazilian national team in recent months, Carlo Ancelotti will remain Real Madrid coach for at least two more seasons. On Friday, the club officially announced the Italian's renewal until 30 June 2026.
In the last few hours, there was even talk of the Super Cup as a key date, although what was clear was that the coach was much closer to staying than leaving. And in the end, the board has anticipated any eventuality in order to maintain the stability that has been breathed this season.
His connection with the squad is total and despite the plague of injuries, results have not suffered. They are co-leaders of La Liga, they qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League with a full house of victories and they have shown more than ever their tactical script.
In addition, the options on the market did not convince the Spanish club either. Raul Gonzalez did not fit in at home, and Xabi Alonso presented himself as the most attractive contender with Bayer Leverkusen leading the way.
Ancelotti is now in his fifth season in two separate spells with Real Madrid. In them he has managed a total of 260 official matches, 141 in this last one in which he holds a 70.2% of victories, 14.2% of draws and 15.6% of defeats. He is just one away from 100 wins since returning to the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.
