OFFICIAL: Chelsea midfielder Chukwuemeka completes Bundesliga switch to Dortmund

Chelsea Football Club have confirmed that Carney Chukwuemeka has completed his loan move to Borussia Dortmund">Borussia Dortmund for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.
The 21-year-old midfielder, who joined Chelsea from Aston Villa in August 2022, has made 32 first-team appearances for the Blues, scoring two goals.
"Borussia Dortmund have secured 21-year-old midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka on loan from Chelsea until summer 2025, with an option to make the move permanent," Dortmund said in a statement.
This season, Chukwuemeka's playing time has been limited, appearing in just five games, with his most recent appearance coming in Chelsea's UEFA Conference League win over Astana.
The loan move to Dortmund represents an opportunity for the young talent to continue his development in the competitive Bundesliga environment.
The midfielder is expected to join a Dortmund side currently 11th in the Bundesliga under new manager Niko Kovac.
