Defender Sergino Dest was transferred on Saturday to PSV Eindhoven, the club where he played on loan last season from Barcelona, who confirmed the deal and said they are keeping a percentage of a future sale.
The Dutchman, born in the city of Almere in 2000 and capped by the United States, joined Barca for the 2020-2021 campaign from Ajax and became the first American player in the club's history.
During his two seasons in Barcelona, the full-back made 72 appearances, 56 of them starts, with three goals and four assists, and contributed to the Copa del Rey title won in the 2020-21 campaign.
Without a place in the 'Cule' squad, the full-back played the last two seasons on loan: first at Milan, where he made 14 appearances, and this last season at PSV Eindhoven, with a greater role and a participation in 34 games. The player, who is recovering from a cruciate injury, signs with the Dutch club until 2028.
