OFFICIAL: Fede Valverde extends Real Madrid contract until 2028

Federico Valverde has renewed his contract with Real Madrid until the summer of 2029. The Uruguayan was already under contract until 2027, but the Spanish side have moved to secure the medium-term futures of several of their youngest squad members. It may be a way of protecting themselves from the big-money transfers to Saudi Arabia. Vinicius, Rodrygo and Eduardo Camavinga have also extended their contracts.
The termination clause of the 'Pajarito' amounts to 1,000 million euros, a crazy figure that is only symbolic. It is a way of making it clear that there will be no offer to which the Madrid board have nothing to say.
The last time the Uruguayan renewed with the Spanish capital club was in the summer of 2021, when he committed to the club until 2027.
The young midfielder has established himself as a key player for Carlo Ancelotti. His 21-22 and 22-23 campaigns have seen the best records of his career in terms of playing a leading role on the pitch. Last season, he made 56 appearances, 50 of them as a starter, a record statistic to which we must add other milestones: 12 goals and 7 assists.
