In two days Como have been shoring up their Serie A squad with big name players. The latest to join is former Liverpool Spaniard Alberto Moreno, who will join Pepe Reina in the dressing room and will be coached by Cesc Fabregas.

Alberto Moreno became Como's ninth signing for their new Serie A adventure on Friday. The left-back has signed with the Italians for one season, until 30 June 2025, but with the option to continue for a further season if certain targets are met.
The 32-year-old from Seville leaves Spanish football to play in Italy after five seasons with Villarreal. Two near-continuous cruciate ligament injuries (2020 and 2022) have weighed down the full-back's recent career, who leaves the ‘Groguet’ side with 124 appearances, eight goals and nine assists to his name.
Formerly Alberto Moreno, raised in the Sevilla youth academy and Europa League champion in 2014. He was also an important part of the beginning of Jurgen Klopp's legacy at Liverpool, with whom he went on to win the Champions League in 2019. He was on board at Villarreal in 2021 and won the second UEFA Cup of his career. He has also been capped four times by Spain.
The arrival of the former Villareal player at Como comes just a day after the arrival of Pepe Reina, his team-mate for the last two seasons at the Estadio de la Ceramica.
Both Spaniards will be under the orders of coach Cesc Fabregas, the architect of the promotion from the bench of this interesting project. The former midfielder also made headlines on Friday with the announcement of his renewal for four seasons.
