OFFICIAL: Frimpong renews with Leverkusen until 2028

Jeremie Frimpong's renewal with Bayer Leverkusen until 30th June 2028 is now official. The Dutch player extends his contract with the current Bundesliga leaders for the next five seasons.
"A lot has happened since my arrival. We've had some great experiences and we've continued to improve as a team. It's a lot of fun to be part of this team," he said in an interview with the German club.
Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rolfes was positive about Jeremie Frimpong's new contract: "In his position as an attacking right-back, he has developed into one of the best players in the Bundesliga during this time. The contract extension underlines the importance of Jeremie.
At the age of 22, he has made 103 official appearances for the BayArena club. He has 13 goals and 22 assists in an exceptional development that has placed him in the great showcase of European football.
