Chelsea are one of the revolutionary teams in every transfer window. Money is not a problem for the Blues and it is not the first time they have spent several million euros in the same window.
Excluding loan returns, that makes six arrivals at Stamford Bridge. Seven after announcing the signing of Filip Jorgensen, who arrives from Villarreal for around 25 million euros.
The Danish goalkeeper has signed a long-term contract for six seasons, that is, until 30 June 2030. But he could extend it until 2031 due to a clause in his contract.
He will be Chelsea's seventh goalkeeper after Kepa, Robert Sanchez, Petrovic and Bertinelli and academy duo Slonina and Bergstrom. Although some of them are likely to leave in the summer, the competition with Robert Sanchez will be real to see who will be in goal at Stamford Bridge.
It is not the first time Chelsea have invested heavily in their goalkeeping as they paid Kepa 80 million euros and Robert Sanchez 23 million euros.
Jorgensen leaves the club of his life, where he arrived when he was just 12 years old and has shaped his career. He does so with a total of 44 first team appearances and 75 goals conceded.
