OFFICIAL: Liverpool sign 16-year-old talent from Man City

16-year-old Lucas Clarke announced on Wednesday that he has signed for Liverpool. The defender has left Manchester City and will now join the Reds' under-16s side.

The Reds have completed the signing of 16-year-old talent Lucas Clarke from Manchester City looking to strengthen their youth team.
Clarke announced the move via an Instagram post on Wednesday. “Delighted to have signed for Liverpool. Can’t wait to get started," he wrote in the post.
The defender will join Liverpool's under-16s side and become the latest of several youngsters to join their academy squad. Liverpool brought in Rio Ngumoha from Chelsea in September. The attacker has heavily impressed at his new club, currently playing in the under-19s side despite being only 16.
Liverpool's academy is deemed one of the finest in England. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Curtis Jones are two of the club's most notable recent graduates, while Conor Bradley and Jarell Quansah are two of the latests to make it into the first team from the youth ranks.
