Napoli have signed Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay for 30 million euros in the hours before the close of the summer transfer window.
The Scot leaves Old Trafford having spent his entire career with the Red Devils, since attending football academy as a five-year-old. The midfielder made his debut in 2017 and made 255 appearances for the club under four different managers.
The club wanted to bid farewell to the player with a statement: "McTominay will be missed by everyone at the club and leaves with our best wishes as he embarks on a new chapter of his career in Italy. The switch to Serie A giants Napoli sees him him link up again with former United team-mate Romelu Lukaku, who has finalised a transfer from Chelsea, and play under Antonio Conte. Good luck, Scott, arrivederci and thank you for the fabulous memories."
