In an official statement, Real Madrid have announced the signing of English international, Jude Bellingham. The midfielder was signed from Borussia Dortmund, after his move there in 2020, and the German club had confirmed last week that Madrid had paid the initial €103 million to sign him.
Now, Madrid have posted a statement that reads: “Real Madrid CF and Borussia Dortmund have agreed on the transfer of the player Jude Bellingham, who will remain linked to our club for the next six seasons".
It continued, "Tomorrow, Thursday, 15 June, at 12pm at Real Madrid City, the presentation ceremony for Jude Bellingham as a new Real Madrid player will take place. After, Jude Bellingham will appear before the media.”
This means Bellingham will play with Madrid until 2029, after the €103 million move. The England star was named the Bundesliga Player of the Season recently, has has been long-linked with a move to La Liga. It is unclear which jersey he will wear, as although '7' was talked about, it has since been given to Vinicius Jr, and his preferred '22' is currently on Rudiger's back.
