OFFICIAL: Roma reinforce their defence with Victor Nelsson

Roma announced on Monday, just hours before the close of the winter transfer window, the signing of Danish defender Victor Nelsson on loan from Galatasaray until the end of the season, while finalising the deals for Frenchman Lucas Gourna Douath (Salzburg) and Moroccan Anass Salah-Eddine (Twente).
"Roma are pleased to announce the signing of Victor Nelsson from Galatasaray. The deal was concluded on loan with an option to buy," the Italian club said.
Born in Denmark in 1998, the Danish centre-back played as a centre-back first for Nordsjælland and then Copenhagen. In 2021 he signed for Galatasaray where, in four seasons, he became one of the leaders of the Istanbul team, accumulating more than 100 official appearances.
Nelsson, who arrives following the departure of Spaniard Mario Hermoso to Bayer Leverkusen, will be available for Wednesday's Coppa Italia clash with Milan.
