OFFICIAL: Sorloth becomes Atletico's new striker
Atletico Madrid made official on Saturday the agreement with Villareal to sign Alexander Sorloth for 30 million euros plus variables for the next four seasons.

Atletico Madrid announced on Saturday the signing of Alexander Sorloth from Villareal for a fee of 30 million euros plus variables and he will join Simeone's side for the next four seasons.
"Atletico Madrid and Villarreal have reached an agreement for the transfer of Alexander Sørloth, who signs with our club until 2028. The 28-year-old Norwegian international is a forward with great physical power thanks to his 195 cm height," said the statement from the club.
The Norwegian striker passed the medical examination at the Sports Medicine Unit of Vithas I Invictum and will join the Red and White squad for the trip to Hong Kong where they will play the next pre-season friendlies. Atletico have signed a replacement for Alvaro Morata, who left the club after the last European Championship.
Sorloth made his debut with Rosenborg in 2013 and has experience in various leagues such as the Eredivisie, Premier League, Jupiler Pro League or Bundesliga before he came to La Liga where he has played for Real Sociedad and Villareal for whom he has scored 26 goals and provided six assists in 41 appearances in the 2023 season.
