OFFICIAL: UEFA bans Osasuna from the Conference League 2023/2024

Osasuna will not play in the Conference League 2023/24. The club from El Sadar will not be able to tour the Old Continent after the success they achieved last season, when they even played in the final of the Copa del Rey. This is due to match-fixing in which former El Sadar officials were involved back in the 2013-14 campaign.
The Pamplona club issued a statement on Tuesday in which they not only made official the decision of the UEFA Appeals Committee, but also assured that they will appeal to CAS, because they consider it to be "a serious violation of their rights".
Osasuna's letter quotes: "The members of the UEFA Appeals Committee have not taken into account the allegations presented by the club last Friday and have reaffirmed the initial opinion of the inspectors of the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Committee. The reasons why the Appeals Committee has decided to exclude Osasuna will be communicated to the club in the coming days".
As was to be expected, Osasuna expressed their anger at the news: "Osasuna do not share UEFA's criteria nor the investigation of the case carried out and regret the erroneous message that UEFA sends to the football world by punishing those who denounce corruption and pursue it judicially".
In addition, the Spanish club said in the statement that they will continue to fight for UEFA to change its mind. The Navarre club "will continue to deploy all the legal instruments at their disposal to confront UEFA and put an end to what they consider to be a serious violation of its rights".
