Midfielder Dani Olmo, who has been out with a muscle injury since 18 January, took part in part of FC Barcelona's training session on Tuesday, while his team-mate Gavi trained in the gym as a precaution.
Olmo suffered an injury on 18 January during the match against Getafe and the medical services determined that he was suffering from an overload in the soleus of his right leg. For this reason, the midfielder has missed the last four La Liga games against Valencia and Alaves, as well as the Champions League games against Benfica and Atalanta.
If he progresses as expected, Olmo could be available for Thursday's quarter-final against Valencia. Gavi is a completely different case. The home-grown player had to withdraw in the first minutes of the game against Alaves on Sunday after suffering a concussion in a collision with Argentine striker Tomas Conechny and was examined in hospital.
The midfielder from Seville has been working out in the gym on Tuesday as he waits to check his condition before returning to the group training session.
