Osimhen closer to Chelsea than PSG, with Lukaku on the table
The Nigerian, who was close to joining the Parisians, has seen no progress towards his move in recent weeks. Chelsea have gained traction as a possible destination for the forward and could even facilitate his arrival with the inclusion of Napoli target Romelu Lukaku in the deal.

Napoli's interest in Romelu Lukaku, who also wants to work with Antonio Conte again, could prove crucial to the resolution of Victor Osimhen's future. The Nigerian, who has been strongly linked with PSG in the first weeks of the transfer window, has seen the French side's interest in his services fizzle out in recent days due to the Italian side's high expectations.
Romelu Lukaku will return to training at Cobham this week, while most of his teammates are on tour in the United States. Finding a move for the striker is a priority for the Blues, who have loaned the striker to Inter and Roma in recent seasons after paying 113 million euros for his signing in 2021.
Chelsea do not want to lose even more money on the Belgian as he still commands a high valuation despite his age. According to 'The Guardian', negotiations are now at the point where the Italians are trying to reduce Lukaku's valuation to make the price tag higher and the English are trying to achieve the opposite.
Aurelio de Laurentiis has set a price for Victor Osimhen at 130 million euros since the start of the transfer window, and it was that figure which drove PSG away from the African player.
While Victor Osimhen was one of the best strikers in Europe in 2022/23 with 31 goals for Napoli, Romelu Lukaku was not at his best that season at Inter Milan and could only finish the campaign with 14 goals.
In the 2023/24 campaign the roles were reversed and the Belgian ended up with 21 goals for Roma, slightly more than the Nigerian's 17 for Napoli.
