Uruguayan Paolo Montero, the current Juventus Under-19 coach, will take charge of the first team following the sacking of Massimiliano Allegri for misbehaviour after the 1-0 Coppa Italia final win over Atalanta.
"The next two Serie A matchdays, the last two of the Italian championship, will see Paolo Montero on the bench of the men's first team," Juve said.
Paolo Montero was a player for the 'Vecchia Signora' between 1996 and 2005. Over the course of almost a decade, he made a total of 186 appearances.
"We wish Paolo, a Juventus legend on the pitch and then the bearer of the club's DNA on the bench, all the best for this period," the statement added.
The coach coached his first session in charge of the first team on Sunday and will make his debut in the dugout on Monday against Thiago Motta's Bologna, the name most strongly tipped to be the next coach in Turin.
