Paredes' Boca move would trigger Casemiro's departure from Man Utd

The transfer market is a constant domino effect. One of the movements that has been stirring up the Argentine press in recent days is the possible signing of Leandro Paredes by Boca Juniors. This is directly related to another new development: Roma's interest in Casemiro, who has dropped down Manchester United's pecking order.
The Brazilian midfielder was a key player for Erik ten Hag, but with the arrival of Ruben Amorim he lost his place in the team until he was completely left out of the squad. Since the win over Everton on 1st December, he has played just three games, two starts, and has been left on the bench without a single minute on 11 occasions. In fact, in 2025 he has not even pulled on a shirt.
Casemiro's situation has only one solution: leave. ‘Sky Sports’ reports that Manchester United are working to find a destination for the Brazilian international and their preferred option would be a transfer. However, they could also accept a loan until the end of the season to patch up the situation and postpone the problem until next summer, when the holding midfielder will enter the final year of his contract.
One of the clubs that have Casemiro on their agenda is Roma. The journalist Gianluca Di Marzio says that the Italian club sees a very good opportunity to strengthen with a player as experienced as the former Real Madrid player, but would only undertake this operation in case Leandro Paredes leaves. The player from San Justo has the possibility of returning to Boca Juniors.
The ‘Xeneize’ have already completed seven signings, those of Carlos Palacios, Ayrton Costa, Rodrigo Battaglia, Alan Velasco, Williams Alarcón, Agustín Marchesín and the Spaniard Ander Herrera.
