After Madrid's 2-1 defeat at La Ceramica against Villarreal, Barcelona did their job at the Wanda Metropolitano and claimed a narrow victory over Atletico thanks to a goal from Frenchman Dembele.
The striker's goal came from a play set up by Pedri, who played as a false left winger. Precisely, the Tenerife native referred to his performance in the match in that position.
"The truth is that I feel very comfortable in this role. Xavi always tells me to try to get into the box more and try to dribble more. He is partly to blame for the goal," said the player from Tegueste at the end of the game.
"A lot of the time I'm playing more up front. When I get inside I'm closer to the box and it's much more comfortable to try to create chances from there. It worked out well for us having superiority in the middle and that's how the game turned out", he added.
Finally, Pedri explained the play that led to the 0-1 scoreline. "When I received the ball and turned around, I saw a lot of space and Gavi was there. I gave him the ball and he fed Dembele, who scored the goal.
