Pedri to return against Real Sociedad, less optimism for de Jong

71 days after picking up an injury with Barcelona on 24th August, Pedri finally looks ready to return to action for Saturday's La Liga clash with Real Sociedad in San Sebastian.
The Spanish midfielder, who has missed more than a year of competitive football as a result of all his injuries at Barca, was sorely missed by his team during his absence, particularly in 'El Clasico' against Real Madrid.
According to Spanish media outlets 'Sport' and 'AS', the 20-year-old is set to be included in the squad for the match in the Basque country on Saturday (21:00 French time), and is even expected to play a few minutes.
However, there is less optimism for Frenkie de Jong, who has been out with an ankle injury for over a month and could be called up, but the cautious Xavi is unlikely to risk bringing him into the game.
With the return of Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha and Jules Kounde against Real Madrid, the injury list is finally emptying for the 'Cules'.
The absence of a number of key players has certainly led to some great moments, such as Marc Guiu's historic debut against Athletic, but it has done the club no favours in important matches.
