"People think Messi doesn't talk, but he's the most annoyed when we lose"
Lionel Scaloni did an interview with 'The Guardian' before Argentina kick off their World Cup campaign in Qatar. The 'Albiceleste' manager spoke about, amongst other things, Messi. He said that he is the most 'sensible' of the group, and that he admires him for how he manages his fame. Despite seeming like the calmest, he assured that he is the most annoyed when the national side loses.

Saudi Arabia will be Argentina's first game in the 2022 World Cup. The whole country is expecting big things from Lionel Scaloni's side, which is causing excitement.
The manager spoke to two media sources recently. In both, he recounted Messi's pep talk in the final of the Copa America, which ended up in an Argentina victory, and with the trophy in his cabinet.
Scaloni assured to 'Ole' that he got goosebumps seeing the number 10 take up the role, and he emphasised the striker's maturity. In another interview with 'The Guardian', he explained that is Messi was key for his pep talk, he was also in the 2019 Copa America, when they lost to Brazil in the semi-final.
"When we lost to Brazil, Messi said a few words because he had to. People think that Messi doesn't speak, but he's a true Argentinian. It's in his blood. It hurts him the most when we lose", he said to the British newspaper.
He emphasised that Messi is "the most sensible of everyone" in the Argentinian national side. The manager thinks that his way of managing his passions is something to admire: "If I go for a walk on the street, I might get asked for one, two, five photos... but that is not all the time. He has it all day, everyday".
"It's not fair he doesn't get a life like the rest of us. He walks into a restaurant, everyone's looking, the cook, the kitman... everyone. And that's from people that know him. Imagine what it's like for those that don't. But he gets it. How many times has he raised his voice in public in the last 20 years? I admire him, I love him a lot, it's incredible how he manages it all", he continued.
With focus firmly on the World Cup, he said that anyone can win, and that every side is dangerous: "The World Cup is treacherous, a lot of the time the best team doesn't win. What's important is to know what you want: that's the path we've taken these last four years".
He promised his country that they will give everything they have for the team, incanse anyone had the slightest doubt. "When you play for Argentina, those nerves and adrenaline are always there. That doesn't change, whether it be in Guatemala or at the World Cup, he finished by saying.
