Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has avoided rumours that Kylian Mbappe's entourage have met with City officials, saying only that the Frenchman "is good" and that he predicts a good future for him.
Mbappe told Paris Saint-Germain last week of his decision to leave the club this summer, when his contract with the Parisians expires, which has opened the door to a kind of auction to see who gets the striker.
With Real Madrid in the running for his services, rumours have spread in England on Monday that Mbappe's entourage have been meeting with City Group executives in recent days, and Guardiola was questioned at a press conference.
"He is very good, he has a good future," the Spanish coach said ahead of Manchester City's game against Brentford on Tuesday.
Mbappe's potential move to Manchester City could be hampered by allegations of financial irregularities at the English club. The Sky Blues were charged 115 times by the Premier League in February 2023 and it is now up to an independent commission to determine whether the club is guilty or innocent and to clarify a possible sanction that could range from loss of points to relegation.
