Pep Guardiola will not rest on his laurels next season. It appears that he has turned his attention to Europe as he looks to find stars to fill in the ranks of his squad.
Man City seem almost guaranteed to face the departures of Ilkay Gundgoan and Bernardo Silva from the midfield, as well as Kyle Walker from their defensive line. The Sky Blues are reportedly closing in on deals for Mateo Kovacic and Josko Gvardiol, but they need a replacement for Walker, and here appears Achraf Hakimi.
The Moroccan international is part of a fairly unstable PSG, who are spending a lot of time and energy on their situation with Kylian Mbappe, and Pep has spotted an opportunity to try and bring the 24-year-old to the Premier League, reports 'Marca'.
Hakimi is under contract in Paris until 2026, but City know him well, having tried to sign him while he was at Borussia Dortmund">Borussia Dortmund, and would be willing to pay a huge fee for his youth, potential and experience as they look to defend their treble next season.
