Chelsea are in the midst of one of the worst campaigns in their history, with a dreadful start to the season that has left Mauricio Pochettino's side on the ropes and in desperate need of points.
Despite the Blues having won three of their last five Premier League games, they sit 12 points adrift of the Champions League qualification places, so the Stamford Bridge outfit's fans' hopes of European football next season are beginning to fade.
Pochettino urged his players at his side's pre-match press conference ahead of their game against Fulham to play every game "as if it were a final". "Every single game should be a priority for us, we need to play every game like a final. We are a young team so it is difficult to be consistent and perform the same way in every game but we try," he said.
"We knew it was going to happen but dealing with that is the most important thing. Some situations that we didn’t expect have made it more difficult. We are really calm, we know what we need to do," the Argentine concluded.
