Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino held a press conference on Tuesday ahead of this week's game against Aston Villa in the FA Cup. His tenure as Blues coach has been in doubt in recent days but the Argentinian manager has explained that the board are backing him.

Mauricio Pochettino apologised to the Chelsea support for "not matching the history of the club" after a 4-2 home loss to Wolves on Sunday dropped the Blues into the bottom half of the Premier League table.
However, his apology was not enough for Chelsea fans. The Argentinian has received a lot of criticism in recent days, including from Thiago Silva's wife, who openly called for the coach to be sacked on X, formerly known as Twitter.
But Pochettino seems unaffected by the criticism as the 51-year-old told a press conference ahead of the FA Cup clash with Aston Villa on Tuesday that he is being backed by the London club's owners.
"I received a very good text from them. We are all together in this. That's the most important and, of course, they are in contact with me and the sporting director every day," he told reporters.
He went on to add: "Sometimes that can happen and we need to keep moving and being strong because I think we have a very good group of players, who as I keep explaining, are not performing as we expect [from the start of the season].
"As always, when the expectation is different from reality, it is difficult to get what you deserve. That's why there's impatience. Against Liverpool, it was all about what a massive failure and how bad Chelsea is," he concluded.
