Mauricio Pochettino has spoken ahead of the Blues' Premier League clash with Arsenal on Tuesday and urged his side to prove Chelsea are not the "Cole Palmer Football Club".
The 21-year-old has been the star man in Pochettino's squad with his 20 Premier League goals this season, but the England midfielder is a doubt for the game against the Gunners.
“It is a good challenge in case Palmer is not available. It’s a good challenge for the teammates. If I am a teammate of Cole Palmer in his position or a similar position, I am going to be motivated to go there tomorrow and show this is Chelsea Football Club, not Cole Palmer Football Club," Chelsea’s boss claimed.
The Argentine boss of the Stamford Bridge outfit was also asked about the controversy of penalties in case Palmer is not on the pitch on Tuesday.
“I will decide when I pick the starting XI but we have players like Noni Madueke, Conor Gallagher, Enzo Fernandez or even Jackson that can shoot. It will depend. Of course, there is Mykhailo Mudryk,” he said.
