Dovbyk has been in excellent form for Girona this season, scoring 11 goals and providing five assists in 17 La Liga appearances. The Ukrainian striker has played a crucial role in the surprising success of Michel's side, with the club currently second in the league standings and only behind Real Madrid on goal difference.
According to The Sun, Dovbyk is at the top of Mauricio Pochettino's transfer wish list and has been watched by Blues scouts in recent weeks. The Argentine manager is said to have been impressed by the Ukrainian's "physical profile" and wants him to provide rivalry for Nicolas Jackson.
Jackson has been Chelsea's main striker this season, but with the forward set to miss several games for the Blues due to his involvement with Senegal at the Africa Cup of Nations, they could look to bring in a new signing in the January transfer window. The report claims that Dovbyk is valued at £39m by Girona and has the same agent as current Chelsea star Mykhaylo Mudryk, with the two reportedly close friends.
The possible arrival of the Girona striker could spell the end of Armando Broja's time at Stamford Bridge. The 22-year-old has made just five Premier League starts this season and has been linked with the likes of Inter Milan and West Ham.
