PSG have not taken long to question information which has been published about Mbappe. According to that, Mbappe earns the same as the sum of Leo Messi and Neymar's salaries.
"After the sensationalist article published yesterday about the club and one of its players, Paris Saint-Germain disagree on the allegedly story and the details included in it," the French club say in an official statement.
'Le Parisien' revealed in the last few hours that Mbappe would earn 636 million euros gross in three years "if he sticks to his word" after his recent renewal at the club. From then on, more rumours appeared, also about the salaries of Messi and Neymar in comparison to the Frenchman, although PSG have not referred to the Argentine or the Brazilian.
"PSG confirms that the story is completely false and that not a single detail is correct," the club says on 'Le Parisien's story.
At the Parc des Princes, they believe that it is a manouvre to destabilise Galtier's dressing room "just a few hours before an important Champions League game". They host Maccabi Haifa on Tuesday (21:00 CEST).
"PSG will not stoop down to give more comments," the statement reads, before adding: "Everyone at the club is focussed on the next Champions League game."
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the club presided by Nasser Al-Khelaifi are considering "all legal action" possible to them in order to reach the bottom of this harm which has added more fuel to the fire in the dressing room.
